Combats des reines

Martigny had the cow fight in the Roman Amphitheatre. It was definitely worth going to see. The sound of the bells echos up to you as you have your raclette & fendant in the tribunes. If you feel that this is unjust for the cows, imagine what the Romans used to do here.

On the way home I stopped in a little spot of heaven. I cannot wait to come snowshoeing here this winter. Not only is there this cute little place to have delicious tarts & cappucinos, but the view accross the valley to the Dents du Midi is spectacular as well as the view of lake Leman!

What are you doing Saturday?

Every Saturday in October & November, starting on October 13, I am organizing walks.
Let me know if you want to join!

Fall walks

Now is the time to get out and take advantage of the automnal beauties of nature.
The leaves are starting to change colors.
The animals are hiding because the hunters are out - but I know where to find them!
The air is crisp & clear - the views are amazing!
The sun is still warm.
If you are a photo amateur or like to paint this is an ideal time to join me for a walk.

  • Schlerondes & La Chaux
  • Bisse du Levron
  • Ruinettes
  • Running race - tour du val de Bagnes
  • Lourtier to Grand Saint Bernard in 4 days

Verbier to the Mediterranean on foot!

To begin with, as soon as I finished my last Mountain Leader exam I left the front door key with the neighbors and walked from Verbier to the Mediterranean Sea! 30 days of walking! It was tougher than I expected!
